White Ribbon Against Pornography (WRAP) Week is intended to educate the public about the extent of our culture’s pornography problem. WRAP week creates a useful opportunity to raise the issue of pornography within the Church, and to call all Christians to renewed lives of sexual purity and freedom.

We will begin accepting applications for Christmas Assistance on Monday October 18, 2010. Our hours will be the same as regular food bank hours. We will continue to accept applications until we have reached our limit for the 2010 season. Please be prepared upon arrival by bringing all necessary documents, identification, etc. otherwise we will not be able to accept your application.

Marie Layton and Dorothy Wilgus know the power of good shoes.

Layton, the family services director at Puyallup’s Salvation Army and Wilgus, a school counselor with the Puyallup School District, are two individuals in a network of area organizations that have teamed up to provide new shoes to children of Puyallup families…

The Salvation Army has been active in Japan since 1895, and since 11 March 2011 has been responding to the unprecendented earthquake and tsunami. More than 10,000 people have died or are missing, and devastation has been widespread.
